Misaligned doors & windows, as well as cracks in walls, floors & bricks are all signs of foundation failures (a cracked concrete slab). Minor problems appear and disappear again during wet & dry spells as soils expand & contract with moisture. See my paper, "Soil Issues for Residential Construction," for more info.
